Bridgette Shoaf
Senior Designer, Interior Design, Residential & Commercial
Bridgette Shoaf is an experienced interior designer who brings passion, simplicity, and enthusiasm into every design project. Her 22 years of specialization in interior design includes 17 years of residential construction and remodeling. Born and raised on a small farm in Lexington, North Carolina, she developed her strong work ethic. At age 16, her first furniture job was assisting in sales at The High Point International Home Furnishings Market. During an internship with Lexington Home Furnishings in Lexington, NC she was introduced to both furniture manufacturing processes and consumer services.
Bridgette attended Kings College in Charlotte, North Carolina where she received a degree in Marketing and Advertising. These college studies fueled her love of furniture and all aspects of interior design.
After college, she worked as an interior designer and sales associate with Carolina Interiors in Kannapolis, NC. Bridgette says, “Carolina Interiors gave me the opportunity to work and learn from some of the best designers in North Carolina. They took me under their wing and encouraged me by providing invaluable training and more design opportunities. I am forever grateful to them.” For 5 years with Carolina Interiors, Bridgette had the opportunity to work with some amazing clients that are still with her today, including NASCAR royalty, The Earnhardt family. “They enabled me to broaden my design career to include remodeling and construction. In addition to their encouragement, the Earnhardt’s utilized my design services for over 4 years. That was the best experience of my life and they continue to graciously provide numerous referrals.”
Soon after her work at Carolina Interiors, she established her own design business and began traveling nationwide. From start to finish, Bridgette completed design plans for numerous homes, and assisted clients with construction oversite services while building a new home. These responsibilities included supervision of subcontractors, preparing floor plans, managing project budgets, and selecting all required interior and exterior fixtures, including furniture, wall and window treatments, flooring, and lighting. Over time, she soon developed an incredible portfolio by designing prestigious properties across the country; including multiple projects in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Houston.
Now that Bridgette has put down roots in the Pinehurst area, she is looking forward to being a part of the design team at Village Design Group. She keeps every project fun, whether it involves a sofa selection, complete home furnishings or any type of remodeling project. Bridgette has a bright smile, a sweet personality and works diligently to help clients create beautiful, creative, and functional spaces they will love. Her clients will be impressed with both her design abilities and her attention to detail. Bridgette remains focused on her career in all things home furnishings.
With a new residence in the Sandhills, she is also committed to lowering her golf score.
